Zlatan Ibrahimovic badly hurt at AC Milan training

38-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic is under contract at AC Milan until the end of the season.
However, there’s now a very high probability that Milan fans will never see Zlatan Ibrahimovic in action for their club ever again.
That’s following a bad injury suffered by the Swede at training on Monday.
According to reports, Ibra hurt himself in the final stages of training yesterday.
While some speculated that Zlatan may have damaged his Achilles, subsequent reports suggested that Swede hurt his calf.
Obviously, the latter injury would be favourable as an ACL injury would leave Ibrahimovic on the sidelines for months.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Zlatan will undergo more tests today to determine the extent of his injury.

Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix injured at training

Over in Spain, Portuguese starlet Joao Felix could also miss the rest of the season for Atletico Madrid.
On Monday, Joao Felix damaged his knee during a Rojiblancos training session.
It’s been confirmed by Atletico that Joao Felix picking up a low grade medial collateral ligament sprain in his left knee.
That injury means the forward will certainly miss the start of La Liga, which is scheduled to resume on June 11.
This is the third time Joao Felix has been injured in his debut season at Atleti.
The striker has been sidelined with a leg and ankle injuries earlier this season.

Bundesliga data shows 266% rise in injury risks

Should we really be surprised that the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Joao Felix have sustained injuries?
Sadly, the data coming out of the Bundesliga following the first two rounds of football since the action restarted, suggests we shouldn’t be.
As noted in Corriere dello Sera, the risks of suffering an injury in the German top-flight has shot up by 266%.
Corriere dello Sera believe these numbers are just as scary for football clubs as the possibility of any of their players contracting Covid-19.
