Tottenham are interested in signing Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma
25-year-old Kurt Zouma is under contract at Chelsea until 2023.
After a loan spell at Everton last season, Zouma was kept at Stamford Bridge in 2019-20.
He’s made 22 appearances for the Blues in the Premier League, however Zouma’s spot in the team is far from certain.
On Thursday, the Times report that Chelsea are willing to sell the French defender this summer, while Spurs might make a move:
(Chelsea) are open to offers for Andreas Christensen and Kurt Zouma, who has attracted interest from Everton and Tottenham Hotspur. Jose Mourinho, the Tottenham manager, coached Zouma when he was at Chelsea.
A word on Andreas Christensen
On Andreas Christensen’s future, the Times fail to list any potential suitors for the 24-year-old Danish defender.
Christensen has only played 15 times for the Blues in the Premier League this campaign.
Juan Foyth is set join Leeds United
Could Zouma replace Juan Foyth in the Tottenham squad?
It’s been a frustrating season for the 22-year-old Argentine defender, who has been restricted to only four Premier League appearances for Tottenham.
Foyth, who is under contract at Spurs until 2022, is now being linked with a possible transfer move to Leeds United.
Nicolas Bozza, who works for Argentina’s Radio La Red, has claimed that Foyth is on his way to join Leeds.
The Argentine international is due to join the Whites on loan from Spurs.
Of course, should the transfer come to pass, Foyth will work for Argentine manager Marcelo Bielsa.
Foyth could be heading to Elland Road as Ben White finally prepares to return to Brighton following his loan spell last season.

According to @Nicobozza, Juan Foyth will join Leeds United on loan next season as a replacement for the outgoing Ben White.— Zach Lowy (@ZachLowy) June 11, 2020
The Argentine has only played twice since José Mourinho’s arrival — will be interesting to see if he can turn things around under Bielsa.
Jan Vertonghen’s Tottenham contract extension
Finally, a note on Jan Vertonghen’s future at Spurs.
Vertonghen is set to become a free agent on June 30, however the Times have confirmed that Tottenham are looking to agree a short contract extension with the Belgian until the end of the Premier League season.
Will Vertonghen sign the deal? The Times report:
(The defender) is yet to decide whether to sign a temporary contract.
Vertonghen has interest from Inter Milan and Fiorentina, who fear his wage demands of more than £3.5 million a year will be too excessive for them.
